Brace Yourselves… Club is Coming!
Club sign up will begin June 23, 2017. This club is going to be something really special! We are trying some fun new ideas with our packages based on your recommendations. The colorways are finished and the theme has been chosen; all that is left is to figure out what bases and sizes we can dye to make you most happy. Visit the CLUB IS COMING thread in our Ravelry group to share your ideas or post your wish list! We are listening. This is going to be YOUR club. We will keep most of the old favorites around, but there will be so many new offerings and extreme surprises you are going to think we have lost our minds. Let me tell you, we have! We just hope we can pull it all together…

Seriously people we might be a little coocoo in the coconut!!!

On the Road!
Fiber Festivals and events are a great way for us to connect to with our customers. As we grow our little company, we try to get out of our comfort zone (the midwest is that for us) and venture out into the wide wide world! We have added 2 new West coast shows to our itinerary this year. We were at Stitches West in Santa Clara California this past winter. And, in November of this year, we will be attending the brand New Stitches SoCal event in Passadena California! We are so excited to get in on the ground floor of this exciting event.

Visit our booth for these special show promotions!

  • Wear your FO made entirely with our yarn and receive 15% off one cake of yarn!
  • Buy any cake of yarn at a show and get entered into a drawing for a $50 git certificate!

Grocery Girls Feature:

You Guys!

If you are not an avid follower of the Grocery Girls video podcast, you should be! These Canadian sisters from Edmonton, Alberta are a riot and they have EXCELENT taste in yarn! One of our very talented customers papdevaney started an etsy shop called A Knitters Satchel and partnered with us to do a give away on their show. The feedback we have received has been wonderful! Take a few minutes and take a look at the excerpt we created of the episode where they ooh and awe over our yarn and Pat’s bags. You guys! (Don’t you just love it when Jodi says that!)

Grape Soda: Many of my Michigan memories include Faygo Grape Soda. No picnic was complete without a good long purple stain down the front of my brand new sundress! Deep grape to soft fizzy lavender.
Spring Mix: Get a healthy dose of green in your yarn diet with this Spring Mix! Crisp dark green Romaine to bitter white Endive and every shade in-between!

Paramour TL
bluesadiction never disappoints with her amazing photography. Take her Groovestar shawl for example. This simple pattern by Annie Baker, knit in Paramour on Tasty, shows how amazing a project can be when done using an evolution.
Let the color be the star!
Blaze MS
Blush of Spring!
I am always amazed at how different colorways look on our different bases. When I think of Blaze I picture fierce orange, yellow, and magenta. But here on Muse it take on a soft almost glowing property. Radicalweft made a fantastic choice for this delicate lace shawl by Evelyn A Clark.
Sangria AL
Club exclusive!
With club looming in the very near future I thought it might be fun to highlight one of my favorite exclusive club colorways. Sangria is so bright and cheerful and the magenta/purple end of it makes it very wearable. 2frecledroit was Having a Sangria in Carson City! This pattern from Romi Hill is such an interesting combination of pattern and texture!

Twisted was started in 2005 as a way to help support my family while I was a stay-at-home mom until I went back to work. Eventually I realized I was at work. I think it's safe to say that Twisted is going to be around for a while! I was lucky to start selling my handspun around the time Etsy was catching on. I learned a lot about yarn and knit fabrics and what I wanted them to look like. This information was crucial to the development of my current process. Soon I was selling lots of striping sock yarn (mostly Arial and Duchess). Demand grew and so did Twisted. Aggie came to work with me. She could skein so precisely and measure dyes so accurately! (I still miss her. But she is now a stay-at-home mom and volunteer for animal rescue and I wish her well!) While she was here we moved to our current studio space and switched to our own website. My mother, Anne, is even more experienced with computers than she is with knitting (very!). She helped a ton with the new site which allows for more options, customization and flexibility. She also does our sample knitting and lots of random yarn and computer tasks. My husband does the books and washes the yarn. Both of our kids help out as their busy schedules permit. I love having a family business! I was lucky to start selling from my own site about the time Ravelry was catching on. I think that might be the magic ingredient to my small business success! Thank you Casey and Jess! As much as I love striping sock yarn, I was longing to move in a new direction: Evolutions. This had been part of my master plan from the beginning, but sock yarn kept me busy until I couldn't hold it in any longer. Then I really needed more help! Anne Bohl joined the team and added her style and skills to the mix. She quickly became indispensable and is now a partner in the business. We are both so grateful for the opportunity to be able to put our families first while helping support our families and interact with the lovely yarn community! Thanks to all of you for making this possible! The Twisted Studio was housed in the servant's quarters of my 150 year old Italianate home for seven years until we were bursting at the seams. We are now located around the corner in a great store called Kean's - a crafter's paradise that has been run by the same family for nearly 100 years. It is the cutest store around and we are lucky to have enough space there to do the dyeing for our webstore as well as a small but beautiful retail spot. So come see us, we'd love to meet you face to face! See store hours, address and contact info here. Cheers! Meg
